Favorite Travel Memory:
My family and I have experienced so many core memories at Walt Disney World, from First Haircuts at Harmony Barber Shop to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique but my favorite memory is from our most recent trip. We spent our rest day taking advantage of the skyliner. We resort hopped for food and entertainment and made our way to The Boardwalk to watch shows. My 8 year old daughter was chosen out of the crowd to join Meraux Dantes as a special guest for his magic show. He helped her twist the handle of a fork with her mind, spread the tines and eventually melt it in half right into her hands. He then proceeded to tell her how amazing she is and how that fork is a good luck charm for our family. Seeing the pure joy and wonder in her eyes will always bring a smile to my face when I think about that moment. When people think of Walt Disney World, they think of the parks, the rides and the characters but the magic of Disney is truly so much more than just those things.
Disney Travel Advice:
Character meals are an incredible experience but they also take up a lot of time. Doing them on rest days (as long as they’re not in park restaurants) allows you to accomplish much more at the parks!
My Favorite Travel Tip:
Rest days between park days are truly a game changer. Swimming, resort hopping and a day at Disney Springs is a must for me when planning a trip.
