Experiencing the Magic Through your Kids
There’s something truly enchanting about Disney during the holiday season, but nothing compares to seeing it through the eyes of your children. From the moment they step onto Main Street, U.S.A., their eyes light up with pure wonder at the dazzling decorations—towering Christmas trees, shimmering garlands, and twinkling lights. It gives you a true holiday spirit feeling. When my kids first were able to see Disney at Christmastime, they were 2 and 3. I will never forget the look in their eyes at the sight of snowfall in Florida (or California – if you did Disneyland) which just added an extra touch of holiday magic, making them giggle in delight.
The Magical Touches
Beyond the décor, the magic comes alive in ways only Disney can deliver. Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade fills the streets with toy soldiers, dancing gingerbread men, and Santa himself waving from his sleigh. Beloved characters don festive outfits, and even Cinderella Castle glows like a frozen fairytale, which my daughter particularly loves to dance in her favorite holiday princess dress to. Special ride enhancements like "It’s a Small World" Holiday with its festive lights and cheerful carols captivate kids, while we were able to create cherished memories on seasonal attractions like Jingle Cruise.
Sweet Treats to Remember
Of course, no Disney holiday experience is complete without sweet treats. Watching your little one take their first bite of a gingerbread Mickey cookie or sip a warm hot chocolate as they take in the holiday sights makes the moment even more magical. The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays allows families to explore seasonal traditions from around the world, creating not just memories, but a deeper appreciation for the spirit of the season.
The Unique Disney Difference
While Disney is always special, the holidays make it truly unforgettable—a time were as a family you can slow down, soak in the festive magic, and watch your children experience a world where anything is possible. Seeing the sparkle in my kids faces as they took in the twinkling lights, hearing their laughter during the holiday parade, and feeling the warmth of togetherness makes this season the most magical time of all.
